Our April Second Saturday: Bringing War Home will be on Saturday, April 9. Join us as we partner with the Mountain West Center for Regional Studies as part of the Bringing War Home Project. Experts will be on hand from 2:00pm to 4:00pm to give veterans, members of military families, and the general public basic tools to help better understand things brought home from war. Additionally, Utah Public Radio will be on hand to record personal stories. Everyone is welcome to bring personal objects brought home from war and share their associated stories. Our goal is to offer strategies to help you contextualize, preserve, and analyze these objects and the stories that surround them. The museum will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Our April Second Saturday is the first of many Bringing War Home Project’s Roadshows happening across the state of Utah in 2022.
Our next Back-in-Time Children’s Activity is Earth Day Delights! Visit the museum on April 19, 20, or 21 at 1:00pm to learn about the history of Earth Day and a few easy ideas to make the Earth a more delightful place to live! Plus, we’ll complete a fun art activity and have a treat. All children are welcome to attend. Contact the museum to signup!
