Our first Free Family Movie Night of the season is in two weeks! Join us at Elite Hall for a free movie at 7:00pm on Friday, November 8. Doors open at 6:30. Wear comfy clothes and don’t forget your blankets, pillows, beanbags, camp chairs, etc. Bring your own dinner/treats.Salute to Veterans, our November Super Saturday event, will be on Saturday, November 9, from 10am-3pm. Learn more about local veterans and the resources available to them through the Rocky Mountain Veteran Center. We will have an art station to make cards for veterans. All veterans are invited to attend, share their thoughts, and receive a special gift.We are hosting a community dance on Saturday, November 9, from 7:00—10:00 pm at Elite Hall! Come celebrate Elite Hall’s beautifully refinished and super bouncy spring-loaded dance floor by dancing to popular songs from 1915 to today! Elite Hall boasts the last functional spring-loaded dance floor in the state of Utah, so come dance the night away and learn about this community treasure! There is a suggested tax-deductible donation of $5 per person or $20 for an immediate family. All proceeds will be reinvested in continued restoration efforts. Join us on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, November 12, 13, & 14, at 1pm each day to learn about Shoshone Culture as part of Native American Heritage Month. All children are invited to experience some of the sounds, tastes, and artwork of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, the people who have lived in this valley since time immemorial. Sign-up is preferred, so visit, call (435-245-0208), or email (museum@hyrumcity.gov) to let us know you’re coming!Our November coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.Did you know that November is Native American Heritage Month? Kick off the month by volunteering to help the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation plant native species at the Wuda Ogwa restoration site. Wuda Ogwa Planting Days will be held this Friday & Saturday, November 1 & 2, from 10am-2pm.
