Our May Back-in-Time Children’s programming is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday May 13, 14, & 15 at 1pm each day. We will be reflecting on who and what we remember as we hear stories about local veterans and make patriotic art. All children are welcome to attend this free event. Sign-up is preferred, so email us at museum@hyrumcity.gov to let us know you’re coming! This is our last Back-in-Time event of the 2024-2025 school year, but don’t forget to join us for our Passport to Summer Fun, which kicks off at Hot Wheels in Hyrum on Satuday, June 7!Join us for our Super Saturday on May 24, from 10am-3pm! We will be highlighting our exhibit “Hyrum’s Heroes: A Salute to Veterans.” Make visiting the museum part of your Memorial Weekend plans to learn more about our local veterans. Contribute your own stories (or those of your family members) to our collection through our veterans scrapbook.Our TWELFTH annual car show fundraiser, Hot Wheels in Hyrum, is on Saturday, June 7th at the Hyrum City Square from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm! There will be several awesome food vendors including Rollin’ West BBQ, Texas Twister, Wellsville Cone, JK Old Fashioned Soda, Papi Juan Caribbean Food, Honey Marie’s Barbecue, and Pita Works Grill, plus amazing vehicles, great music, and fantastic prizes! Visit the museum starting May 27th to get one free prize drawing ticket per person. We will also be launching our summer-long children’s activity, Passport to Summer Fun, with new adventures, projects, and drop-in activities, so visit the museum tent to get your passport and special event-specific stamp! Vehicle pre-registration is open and available at the museum or at hyrumcitymuseum.org until Thursday, June 5th. Day-of registration will begin at 9am.Our May coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.
