Join us for our Super Saturday on August 16, from 10am-3pm! We will be highlighting our exhibit “Getting an Education.” We will also have a neat science experiment to try! Hyrum City Museum events are free and open to all!Our August coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.Last month World War I veteran and Hyrum-native Alonzo Stanton received his Purple Heart Award for his meritorious performance of duty in France and his wounds received in action against an enemy on October 14, 1918 during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Alonzo’s uniform and Purple Heart are on display at the museum this month.
We are thrilled to begin construction this fall on a new structure on the east side of Elite Hall to make it accessible and more functional! Over the last ten years, we’ve completed several large improvements to the building and have had 50,000+ visitors, so we are looking forward to moving closer to having a fully functional, accessible, and beautiful building for all of our community members to use.
