Check out all the things happening at the Museum this month!

Join us for our December Back-in-Time Children’s Activity, “Gingerbread Kids!” Come to the museum on December 2, 3, & 4 at 1pm each day to learn about the importance of sugar beets and molasses in Cache Valley’s history. Children will also decorate gingerbread men. Sign-up is strongly encouraged this month because we’ll have a limited number of cookies, so visit, call (435-245-0208), or email (museum@hyrumcity.gov) to let us know you’re coming. Programming is the same each day, you can attend either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. All museum events are free and open to everyone!
Our next free family movie night of the season is on Saturday, December 6, at Elite Hall! Doors open at 6:30, movie begins at 7pm. Wear your comfy clothes, bring your favorite treats or dinner, and don’t forget your blankets, pillows, camp chairs, etc. This is a free public event and a great chance to watch fun movies on a big screen with a sound system on the historic spring-loaded dance floor of Elite Hall!
Our December coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.
Wellsville Elementary School PTO’s Evening of Art 2025 winners are now on display in the glass cases outside the Hyrum City Museum! Come see how these young artists interpreted the theme “Together We Shine,” now through January!

The Hyrum City Museum is located at 50 West Main Street (below the library). Because these cases are outside of the museum, visitors can view to artwork anytime the building is open (and are not limited to the museum’s hours).
Elite Hall after paint removal
We are thrilled to be so close to starting construction on a new annex structure on the east side of Elite Hall to make it accessible and more functional! Over the last ten years, we’ve completed several large improvements to the building (including removing exterior paint to reveal the beautiful original brickwork and re-finishing and strengthening the historic spring-loaded dance floor). Elite Hall has had 50,000+ visitors in the last decade, so we are looking forward to this next accomplishment! If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support this awesome community project, please contact Jami at the museum, email museum@hyrumcity.gov, or call 435-245-0208.

You can donate online through our website’s shop: https://hyrumcitymuseum.org/donate-to-the-elite-hall-restoration/
The Museum will be closed December 24-25 and December 31-January 1 for the holidays. The museum will re-open on Tuesday, January 6, at 10am.
