Free Family Movie Night is on Friday, January 3! Join us at Elite Hall for a free movie at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:30. Wear comfy clothes and don’t forget your blankets, pillows, beanbags, camp chairs, etc. Bring your own dinner/treats.Join us for our January Back-in-Time Children’s Activity on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, January 14, 15, & 16, at 1pm each day. For “Sledding & Sliding” we will explore the fun things children do in the winter and consider how those activities were the same or different historically. We will look at some neat winter items in our collection and do a fun art activity. All children are welcome to attend this free event. Sign-up is preferred, so visit, call (435-245-0208), or email (museum@hyrumcity.gov) to let us know you’re coming!Throughout our Super Saturday events in 2025 we will highlight a new exhibit each month! Join us for our first Super Saturday on January 25, from 10am-3pm, as we highlight our Heart of Hyrum Exhibit with special additions from our recent oral history interviews with community members who grew up in Hyrum in the 1940s-1960s. We will have a special panel discussion at 1pm, as well as a fun activity for kids throughout the day.Our January coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.Save the dates for all of our 2025 Super Saturday Programming!The first place artwork from Wellsville Elementary PTO’s Evening of Art 2024 is now on display in the glass cases outside the Museum’s entrance. Come check out these pieces representing “What Kindness Means To Me” through January 2025.The Lincoln Elementary School PTA Reflections Art Contest Winners are now on display at the Hyrum City Museum through January 2025. Come see how these creative students interpreted this year’s theme “Accepting Imperfection” through their art, photography, music, dance, & film. NOTE: This year we are utilizing the glass cases inside the museum (not the ones in the hallway outside) for this display. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 10am-4pm.
