Our TWELFTH annual car show fundraiser, Hot Wheels in Hyrum, is on Saturday, June 7th at the Hyrum City Square from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm! There will be several awesome food vendors including Rollin’ West BBQ, Texas Twister, Wellsville Cone, JK Old Fashioned Soda, Papi Juan Caribbean Food, Honey Marie’s Barbecue, and Pita Works Grill, plus amazing vehicles, great music, and fantastic prizes! Visit the museum starting May 27th to get one free prize drawing ticket per person. We will also be launching our summer-long children’s activity, Passport to Summer Fun, with new adventures, projects, and drop-in activities, so visit the museum tent to get your passport and special event-specific stamp! Vehicle pre-registration is open and available at the museum or at hyrumcitymuseum.org until Thursday, June 5th. Day-of registration will begin at 9am.We are excited to launch our summer-long 2025 children’s program, Passport to Summer Fun at Hot Wheels in Hyrum! You can pick up your passport at the museum tent and get a special Hot Wheels in Hyrum stamp, or at the museum starting Tuesday, June 10th. All children are invited to participate! The passport includes a bunch of fun and educational activities, plus the museum will host three drop-in activities starting with State Parks Scramble on Wed, June 18th from 1:00–3:00 pm. Then in July, visit us at the Grand Old Flag event at the Elite Hall on Thurs–Sat, July 3rd–5th from 10:00 am–3:00 pm each day. Finally, we’re partnering with Jump the Moon for a Paint Night on Tues, July 22nd from 4:00–7:00 pm. Everyone who earns at least nine stamps in their passport will be invited to our summer-end pizza party on Thurs, July 31st!Our next in-person event for our Passport to Summer Fun educational programming is State Parks Scramble! Join us on Wednesday, June 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 to learn all about state parks and summer recreation! Drop-in anytime during the event to for some fun art projects and activities from the Hyrum City Museum, the new Hyrum Recreation department, and Hyrum State Park! Don’t forget to bring your Passport to earn a special stamp in your Passport To Summer Fun! Passports will be available to pick-up during the event if you haven’t received one yet.Our June coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.We have new artwork on display in the Hyrum City Council Chambers! Throughout 2025 the paintings of John A. Petersen, a life-long Hyrum resident and former Museum Board Chair, will be hanging in the City Council Chambers. John has painted his entire life and his oil and watercolor pieces depict Cache Valley and life in the west. Check out the art the next time you are in the chambers!
