Our October coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.Our October Super Saturday “Cemetery Trick or Treat” is on October 26! Join us for some spooky stories about some of Hyrum’s earliest settlers at the Hyrum City Cemetery (525 E Main, Hyrum) at 1:30pm. We will meet at the southwest corner of the cemetery. Be sure to dress accordingly for fall weather as we will be outside for the entire tour. The museum will also be open from 10am-3pm.Join us for our October Back-in-Time Children’s Activity! Wear your costume to trick-or-treat around the museum while learning all about Dia de los Muertes. October 29, 30, & 31 at 1pm each day. Pre-registration is REQUIRED this month, so call (435-245-0208), email (museum@hyrumcity.gov, or drop-by the Museum to sign-up. All children are welcome to attend from preschool-aged to older kids who are homeschooled!Note: the museum will be closed the entire week of October 8-10 so museum staff can attend professional development training at the Utah Museums Association annual conference.Did you know that each October is Utah Archives Month? Utah Archives Month is a chance for museums, libraries, archives, and other collecting institutions across the state to celebrate the role that archives play in our daily lives while highlighting some fun history. This year’s theme is The Future in the Archives! Whether it is a future that came to be, or a future that was aspired for but never realized, we want you to explore these futures with us in October!Save the date for this year’s Free Family Movie Nights at Elite Hall. The first movie will be on November 8 at 7pm!
