We are once again partnering with the Cold War Veterans Foundation to host a Cold War Victory Medal Pinning Ceremony on September 12. You are invited to honor our community’s veterans by attending the Cold War Victory Medal Pinning Ceremony at Mountain Crest High School’s auditorium on Thursday, September 12 at 5:00 pm. Many US soldiers served our country between 1945 and 1991, an era when many feared the spread of communism and demise of capitalism. Many were not recognized for their sacrifice and others were even persecuted. We are looking forward to this opportunity to finally honor our local veterans who served our country and hope that you will join us!We are excited to kick-off this year’s Back-in-Time educational programming in September! On September 24, 25, & 26 we will learn all about Awesome Autumn. Join us to learn about the awesome things that happen with the changing of the season and do an awesome art project. Sign-up is preferred, so visit, call (435-245-0208), or email (museum@hyrumcity.gov) to let us know you’re coming! For our September Super Saturday Event we are celebrating Autumn by offering driving tours of historic Hyrum at 11:00am and 1:30pm. Bussed one-hour tours will leave from the museum and be led by members of the Hyrum Historic Preservation Committee. Spaces are extremely limited so sign-up today! The museum will be open from 10am-3pm and will offer a fun art activity.Save the dates for our Back-in-Time Children’s programming! Back-in-Time runs Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00-1:30pm for one week each month during the school year (It is the same program each day). Sign-up is encouraged and all children are welcome to attend from preschool to older homeschooled children.Our September coloring contest is here! Send your entry to 50 West Main Street, Hyrum, UT 84319, museum@hyrumcity.gov, or bring it in person during our open hours (Tuesday – Thursday from 10AM to 4PM). Coloring pages are also available to pick up at the Museum or download from our website. Don’t forget to include your name, age, and address to collect your prize.
